Nick Jonas janjikan US$25.000 untuk Bank Makan

Pentolan Jonas Brothers, Nick Jonas, rupanya amat dermawan. Seperti dilansir dari Splash News, dia berjanji akan memberikan sumbangan yang cukup besar pada bank makanan di Texas di masa liburan kemarin.
Musisi muda ini berjanji akan memberikan US$25.000 dari fondasi yang dimiliki oleh keluarganya pada bank makanan yang berada di Dallas itu.
Nick yang masih berusia 17 tahun ini memang ikut tur bersama North Texas Food Bank selama akhir minggu lalu sebagai bagian dari sebuah kerja sama yang melibatkan jejaring bank makanan nasional, Feeding America, dan serial TV THE BIGGEST LOSER.
Sekitar 140 sukarelawan juga ikut bergabung dan kabarnya mereka amat senang bisa mendapatkan kesempatan untuk bertemu Nick, anggota Jonas Brothers termuda. Dan Nick langsung menghubungi sang ayah setelah tur tersebut sebelum mengatakan janjinya.
Presiden Bank Makanan, Jan Pruitt, mengatakan, "Inilah generasi baru sang dermawan. Waktunya dihabiskan di sini bersama ratusan anak yang menjadi sukarelawan. Dan mereka akan mengerti, 'Jika itu penting buatnya, maka itu juga penting buatku'."    (spl/npy)

Beckham Sekeluarga Santai Nonton Konser Gratis

      Kapanlagi.com - Tak bisa ikut berlaga di Piala Dunia tahun ini agaknya membawa dampak positif buat kehidupan pribadi David Beckham. Karena tak harus berlatih maka Beckham punya lebih banyak waktu buat keluarganya. Akhir pekan lalu, David dan Victoria mengajak ketiga anak mereka keluar untuk nonton konser gratis yang digelar Jonas Brothers.Akhir pekan lalu Jonas Brothers memang menggelar konser gratis di The Grove, Los Angeles. Dalam konser yang akan jadi pembuka rangkaian konser Jonas Brothers itu keluarga Beckham tampak sangat enjoy. Cruz mendapat kehormatan bisa duduk di atas pundak sang ayah selama pertunjukan berlangsung sementara dua saudaranya tampak ikut bernyanyi sambil bertepuk tangan. Menurut Splash News, acara itu dimulai sekitar pukul tiga sore dan Jonas Brothers membawakan beberapa lagu hits mereka sekaligus memperkenalkan satu lagu baru mereka yang berjudul LA Baby yang rencananya akan masuk dalam album baru mereka nanti. David Beckham sendiri gagal ikut berlaga di Piala Dunia tahun ini karena cedera otot kaki yang dialaminya saat berlatih beberapa waktu yang lalu. Sebelumnya, sempat diberitakan juga kalau meski tak ikut berlaga di Piala Dunia, Beckham akan tetap berangkat ke Afrika Selatan untuk menjadi bintang tamu dalam konser pembukaan acara ini sekaligus mendampingi pelatih tim Inggris selama berlaga di sana.    (spl/roc)

Joe Jonas Says He's "Done With Country Stars" At Tour Stop

It looks like Taylor Swift and Joe Jonas' feud may be back on. At a recent concert, Joe Jonas changed the lyrics of their new song "Much Better" to take a bigger swipe at ex-girlfriend Swift.

The lyrics to "Much Better" already call out his "Love Story"-singing former flame. "Now I'm done with super stars/And all the tears on her guitar," read the lyrics, referring to Swift's early hit "Teardrops on My Guitar." During the show, the lyrics were changed to an even more obvious dig at Swift.
"Now I'm done with country stars," he sang at the Tulsa, OK tour stop, even to brother Nick's surprise who looked shocked at the outburst. The Jonas Brothers' new tour kicked off last week to an audience of 50,000 people in Dallas, where Swift pal Miley Cyrus joined rumored boyfriend Nick for a duet.
Whether Swift will hit back at Joe during her current "Fearless" tour is unknown. May we suggest a cover of Mariah Carey's new Eminem-dissing single, "Obsessed"?

NICK JONAS FIGHTS DIABETES IN NEW TV AD

Nick Jonas - who himself battles diabetes - has teamed up with pharmaceutical giant Bayer to promote the firm's blood-sugar meter.
The digital CONTOUR device, which plugs into a computer via a USB port, helps sufferers track their glucose levels over the course of a day.
Nick, 17, appears in a new TV ad airing in the US now, in which he urges those with diabetes to use it, as he plays his guitar.
He has previously told how he was rushed to hospital before doctors diagnosed him with the illness at the age of 13.
"I lost 15 pounds in two weeks," he told a US television show. "I weighed 115 pounds - I went down to 100."
Doctors performed tests on Nick and concluded that he had Type 1 diabetes.
"It was the scariest thing ever," his brother Joe said. "I remember we went swimming one day and I could see his back and bones."
Nick now has to test his own blood sugar and wears a pump on his back, which delivers insulin into his bloodstream.
The teenager has even written a song, A Little Bit Longer, about his experience of diabetes.

JOE JONAS SPLITS WITH DEMI LOVATO ON PHONE

Joe Jonas broke-up with Demi Lovato over the phone, according to reports.
The couple admitted they were in a relationship in March, but called it quits earlier this week.
"He didn't have the heart to do it in person," Us Magazine reports a source saying.
The young singer allegedly "thought it wasn't a good idea for them to be dating and working together all time and was afraid it was ruining the friendship".
The former couple are slated to tour together this summer.
Jonas reportedly ended his previous relationship with singer Taylor Swift in 2008 with a “27-second” phone call.

Jonas Brothers' star Nick Jonas is working on a solo act and is currently shooting his own album cover, his mum has revealed.


Denise Jonas, mum to the three lads from the hit US boy band, admitted that her 17-year-old son is working on a project away from the brothers.


Asked if she has any scoops on the boys, she said to Parade.com: "Nick is working on a solo act - it's called Nick Jonas and The Administration. Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover now.


"And Kevin and his fiancee, Danielle Deleasa, have set a wedding date - but it's completely private. Danielle, bless her heart, is from a great little Italian family.


"She is everything I ever prayed for and hoped for Kevin."

JONAS BROTHERS GET STUCK IN SHOPPING CENTRE LIFT

The Jonas Brothers got stuck in a shopping centre lift for nearly an hour.
The pop stars and their bodyguards were trapped trying to leave their sell-out concert at The Grove in Los Angeles.
“For the first 15 minutes, they thought it was funny, but after 30, they started to worry,” an insider told the New York Post.
“Security guards finally managed to pry open the doors. The elevator was between floors.
“The brothers are skinny and easily squeezed out, but it was tougher for their giant bodyguard.”
A representative for the band confirmed that the band got stuck, but added that ‘everybody got out fine'.

THE JONAS BROTHERS

The Jonas Brothers landed their fame from their own reality show called: "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream," which features their experiences in living 'on the road,' traveling for concerts, auditions, shows, and the likes. The Jonas Brothers also started enhancing their TV presence through the 2008 TV movie entitled: 'Camp Rock," a musical with Demi Lovato. The movie was produced by the Disney Channel and became a huge success, with close to 9 million viewers watching. "Camp Rock" also introduced "Burnin' Up," another single of the Jonas Brothers, followed by "A Little Bit Longer," released in the last quarter of the same year.

How the Jonas Brothers were Discoverd
This band started a solo project for Nick Jonas. When Nick was 6 he was discovered at a barbershop. Nick began performing on Broadway by the time he was 7. He has acted in several plays including
A Christmas Carol (as Tiny Tim and Scrooge), Annie Get Your Gun (as Little Jake), Beauty and the Beast (as Chip), Les Miserables (as Gavroche), The Sound Of Music (as Kurt) and Paper Mill Playhouse.

Nick wrote a song for his father called Joy To The World (A Christmas Prayer), and performed this song on the Broad Quity Fights Aids album. The label released the song to the Christian radio and it quickly became popular. While Nick was working on his solo project his brother job followed in his Broadway footsteps appearing La Boheme.

In 2004 Columbia Records heard about Nick's song and he then joined INO Records and Columbia Records. He released a song "Dear God" and his first song was re released as well. Nick's self titled solo album Nicolas Jonas was pushed back, but it did have a limited release. The brothers had song and helped write the songs on his halbum.

In 2005 the all 3 brothers were signed by Daylight/Columbia Records as a group act.

In 2008 the group was nominated for the Best New Artist at the 51st Grammy awards, and won the Breakthrough artist at the American Music Awards.


Personal Lives
The Jonas Brothers have a very wholesome image. They are all comitted Evangelical Christians. Their father is a former pastor, and they were homeschooled by their mom. They have vowed to abstain from premarital sex, and wear purity rings. Joe says these rings symbolize " a promise to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage". Nick has said that "purity rings (are) pretty awesome, and the rings are just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there".

Franklin Nathianiel Jonas (born in September 2000) is known as Bonus Jonas. He will debut with his brothers on JONAS and may also have an appearance in Camp Rock 2.
